After years of training abroad, Matteo Mauro, an important exponent in the world of crypto art, decided to return to his roots by opening a new workshop and showroom in one of the most important cities in Italy: Milan.

Matteo Mauro opens his art at the gates of Milan

For years, the artist left the peninsula to broaden his horizons and realize his dreams.

He graduated in architecture from the University College of London and then managed to collaborate with important international designers.

Despite this, however, Matteo, from an artistic point of view, has never tried to break that important red thread that has always kept him tied to his homeland – the Trinacria.

The artist now, driven by the desire and need to return to his beloved Italy, has decided to open his new studio in Milan, more precisely in Via Ventura 6 in Lambrate.

Matteo Mauro, in fact, stated:

“I felt it was important to reconnect with Italy, in a city and an area where artistic ferment is ready to support drastic cultural novelties.”

The inauguration of artist Matteo Mauro’s new studio

The inauguration of the new studio of the famous NFT artist – Matteo Mauro – will take place on July 14 at 7 p.m. on Via Ventura in Lambrate.

Matteo has decided to enter the Milan scene by organizing a series of 10 cultural events starting in September 2022.

Mauro, we recall, is among the most quoted and in-demand artists and stands out in the vast crypto art scene for his strong and mind-blowing ability to combine tradition and innovation.

Drawing, in fact, inspiration from his origins, Matteo brings a rare added value to his NFT works.

His strong creative spirit proves that contemporaneity also passes through the solid foundations of the “genesis” of tradition.

Mauro’s is an extremely innovative form of expression, always seeking new languages, using old and new methods of creativity, including with the help of different digital representation techniques.

He himself states:

“I would like to borrow adjectives that curators often use to talk about my works and which I really feel are mine: hyper-contemporary, immaterial and complex. I think the real hallmark of my works is the accumulation of forms, particularly evident in the Micromegalic Inscriptions, my most popular series. I feel that my works are generally very instinctive and uncontrollable, striking the viewer’s eye in a direct and overpowering way.”

His works are exhibited around the world

The Blue Chip artist also recently won the Van Gogh Prize thanks to his extraordinary collection of NFT – “Four Elements.“

A collection consisting of four works representing the 4 elements respectively: Air, Water, Earth, and Fire.

The non-fungible tokens were sold for about 12 ETH each.

The artist comments on the milestone by issuing this statement:

“In the last 20 years, we have witnessed a shift from the physical object to the virtual object, and this has marked a different way of interacting with art. Art now enters our lives in new ways, no longer just in the form of a work or reproduction to be collected, as was the case in the past. Today it also enters our computers, smartphones, and on social media as a time-limited consumer image.”

It is necessary to add that it is possible to admire Matteo Mauro’s breathtaking works, not only in his new showroom in Milan but also around the world.

In fact, the Sicilian-born artist is a true standard-bearer of Italian creativity abroad.

Many of his works are, in fact, exhibited in important museums, such as:

Royal Academy of Arts, Datong Art Museum, MACS, Marte Museum, MEAM, Dubai Ing-Creatives, 798 Beijing and Qianjiang International Art Museum. It is also the only one in the industry to have participated in MiArt, the Milan Art Fair.
